17HMR, but got rid of it pretty quick, that revolver should not have been chambered in that caliber, but the. Probably the only new handgun I would buy in that price range would be a North American Arms Mini-revolver. I would just rather spend my money on something else. I did not go quite the "fluff & buff" route, but did smooth a few things out. Or at least I did, it may have been fine. I had to polish up my Kel-Tec P3AT pretty well before I ever fired it. If I get to the range this weekend (gonna try) I might film my HP C9 in action along with surprisingly good groups from it just to prove they really do work quite well. One mans opinion, it's rare but I've been wrong 8) If you're in it to have fun, or a tight budget, buy a Hi-Point, spend some time with it, learn to like it. If you don't want to play or are a gun snob, buy a $XXXX pistol. Most compaints I've heard are from gun snobs that get a bit pissed they paid $XXXX.XX for a Brand X, and have a $XX pistol outrun them at the range. Blazer, American Eagle, Winchester white box, Wolf.these all run just fine. My only problems with them has been shooting my crappy reloads (mistakes I was afraid to shoot in a better pistol).the type that only put the bullet 2" down the barrel.or damn near rips your hand off stuff. (yes, chamber and all.a dip tank would be perfect.shoot, dip, shoot, dip :)) Run 100rds, shot of CLP, 100rds, shot of clp.all day every day. If they get dry in the least, they'll start failing. Radius smoothing on several other areas to assist in feeding and ejection. Care has to be taken NOT to mess with the chamber area (it'll wear enough on it's own, thank you D) Most of their pistols imitate the carbines, they love being run wet. There are enough spots that have sharp edges and casting flash, that cleaning up those alone will help immensely. A complete disassembly and polishing of inside parts for one. There are simple fixes to make these things run like much higher priced toys. Armory, Self Defense, And EDC > Pistols and Handguns
